Baan Thai used to be our favorite Thai spot until yesterday!
The manager (20-year old guy) was rude and inconsiderate. He lost not only us but all of my friends as potential customers!
We kept going back to this place even if the restrooms are in worse condition than those at rest-stops! I can only imagine what other dust looms around in the kitchen.
I am not going back here and don t recommend it to anyone simply because of the management and cleanliness issues.
There are better places out in Portland who ll treat customers with the respect they deserve.
The Pad Phed is to die for.......just make sure you get it very very mild, they are not kidding when they say its spicy. The garlic chicken basil is great too. Service is prettys good seeing as how they are usually pretty busy, the owner is very polite as well. The lunch menu has great prices and the quality of the food is the same as dinner. Baan Thai is a must if you want Thai food.
My girlfriend and I had a lovely time there. Food's excellent. Service's a little slow and need work. But we had probably the NICEST waiter we've ever had. He made sure our spiciness level was just right and he was really really friendly. We would definitely go back.
Went with a friend for lunch about a month ago and ordered the pad-thai. The service was a little slow, the waitress didn't seem happy to serve us. When the order arrived, the server only brought one of the orders. My friend had to wait for my dish to come out which it did 5 minutes later. The pad-thai was a little sweet, and only had one piece of shrimp. Both of our dishes had only one piece of shrimp. I expected a couple more pieces of shrimp or at least the should have used a smaller sized shrimp for this dish.
In the end, with the exception of the one shrimp, the food was good. The service wasn't very good and very slow. When serving food, they should bring out both dishes, not one at a time.
