This museum's collection traces the history of music from the 16th Century to the present day. Along with harps, harpsichords, guitars, violins and violas, you'll find pianos owned by Joaquim Malats, Amadeu Vives and Otto Kibuntz and a saxophone that belonged to the inventor of the instrument himself, Adolphe Sax. You will also get to see an 18th-century organ from the now defunct Santa Caterina convent and an exhibition of old phonographs, gramophones and jukeboxes as well as biographical documents relating to several Catalan composers.
