Inaugurated in 1905, the Teatre Victòria is one of the most emblematic theatres in Barcelona. It is located in the Avenida del Paral.lel, the centre of early 20th century theatre and music. The theatre has been completely refurbished and has a large stage with the latest technology, and an auditorium seating 1,145, plus excellent acoustics. This is why it was used by the Teatre de Liceu for opera and dance during the Liceus five-year closure following a fire in 1994. The Victoria is now putting on theatrical hits, dance and Flamenco again.
