This place was great and local. I am really confused why people don't like it.

The Food we had pallea the best service was great, friendly waiters great view we sat outside next to the beach, good wine, me wife and I injoyed experiece Highly recommand.

There were 6 of us. We've heard from the tourist bus, that this was the place to be if you wanted to try the best paella in Barcelona. Oh boy. First of all the queue: we had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated. When we sat they brought some bread olives both of which tasted like 100+ years old. We could deal with that. Then they brought us the menus. Prices are just way TOO HIGH. And there's financial problems in this country? No wonder if you're trying to scam people like that. We've ordered seafood paellas. You cannot order one dish, you can only order two (????). Ok, so we did. They brought us the plates and the food was alright, but nothing close for the ridiculously high asking price. The rice was overcooked and the fish were tasting very strange, like they weren't that fresh after all. When we finished some foreign guy (who was probably working before on selling cold drinks and coco or doing tattoos at the beach and asking you to buy stuff from him every second of your time on the Barcelona Olympica beach) brought us the check. We found a strange point: 3.90 - pan x 2. I've asked what it was and he told me it's for cleaning the table before us (?????) and told me that his service is not included hinting at a tip. He asked me if I liked my meal and I told him that it wasn't anything special, just ordinary food with rice which was overcooked. He then replied that it wasn't possible and that everybody else is happy so it's my problem and told me again that his service wasn't included. LOL. I'd stay away from this restaurant.

We did not even get a chance to see the menu before the waitor was suggesting a plate of fish and shellfish. We thought it sounded like a good idea without asking the price. We where a company of six. We had a pate of fich and shellfish and asked for two bottles of the "wine of the house" wich is usually cheaper. We enjoyed the meal wich was very tastefull. We where very suprised when we resived the bill! 633 euros! We did not have an appetizer or anything else!

This place was recomended by a taxi driver. There we should have known allready that it is not going to be what the driver said it is. I am in Spain once a month for business and have an idea about good Spanish food. The place is set nicely at the corner of Barceloneta and has nice views to the beach. The "pan con tomate" was fluffy as it was allready sitting around for many hours, seafood and meat was neither a delight. If you want good atmosphere and really good food go to Merendero de la Mari or Magatzem (bot in the port vell) or if the view is not important go to Taktika Berri in Valencia 169 (corner Muntaner). The last one has also a fantastic Tapas bar.

We were recommended this place by locals as the "best" place to get a nice seafood dinner. We should have known by the army of multilingual waiters hustling in tourists that this was a place to be avoided. We ordered cochinillo (roast suckling pig) and a mariscada (plate of grilled fish and shellfish). The pork was OK, though not as good as I've had elsewhere in Spain, but the mariscada was a joke. It arrived cold. Everything was tough and flavorless, seasoned only by the extra-virgin olive oil they seem to slather on everything at this restaurant. We complained about the mariscada and, to their credit, they took it off the bill. I love Spanish food and have spent a lot of time in Spain. This is hands down the worst Spanish food I've ever had. In contrast, a similar mariscada eaten at a bar in the La Boqueria market was pure heaven, everything fresh and tender and exploding with flavor. I can only conclude that the locals who recommended this place are impressed by the high prices and mostly foreign clientele but have probably never actually eaten here!

Our bill was 191,74 Euros ($258.00). Our waiter (from South America) held up a plate of seafood when we sat down and claimed I ordered it as an appetizer. The cost was 109euros ($146.00). When we realized what had happened (less than 5 minutes), they said it was too late.

the wholle experience was amazing. Service gave 110% to ensure we enjoyed the evening, food was delicious. there were 19 of us in a party which would normally mean long waits, etc... but not here everything was faultless and most enjoyable. Will most definitely be back on our next visit to Barcelona.

This place is taight man there's no place like this one where i came from!!! I'll prabably go next month on june the 15 because the food is great nothing like but good food..

Be aware...tourists prices are triplicate: for very few (NOT FRESH) fish, a bottle of wine and some fruits (2 people) the bill was 190€. After demanding clarify about that they told us that 150€ would be fine anyway, and later they re-did the bill for 138€, but without anysense. Believe me, stay far away from this place!
