Tramoia (La)

Description

You'll be well fed and watered here at any time of day from breakfast to dinner. Look out for the huge blackboards that describe the salads and dishes of the day. It's a spacious bar-restaurant on a central corner site with large plate-glass windows and an outdoor terrace. You get a good idea of what people in Barcelona like to eat and drink by studying the menu. It offers a variety of tapas and raciones (larger sized tapas), platters of cheese, cold meats or roast vegetables and Fideuà (like paella but with noodles instead of rice), all ranging from (EUR 3-9.01). There's a good selection of wines to choose from and a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Best Tapas we had in Barcelona`
By QueenBoo, 3/28/08
We went here out last night in Barcelona and it was the best place we had tapas the entire week. It's a little more upscale, but for once in Barcelona, it was actually worth the money spent! The Sangria is amazing there as well. We left Barcelona with a great taste in our mouths!

My Favorite in Barcelona
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/06
I am always drawn back to La Tramoia. The location is ideal. The downstairs area is more casual bar/dining area. Upstairs in the main dining the grill is within view of the tables. The bread and the tomato, cucumber sauce that is served with it is to die for. Don't forget to order the "pimentoes" cant remember how to spell however, they are extremely mild peppers sauteed and only available in the surrounding countries. Everything on the menu is great. I have already made plans to celebrate my birthday in 2007 at this restuarant. Friendly, attentive staff and great atmosphere. I can't wait till March '07

I can't wait to end a story with \"Bollywood James Bond\"
By Magdalena, 9/7/06
Alone and lonely in Barcelona, I ended a beautiful Tuesday of August 29 in La Tramoia, aiming to have just a glass of wine surprisingly I turned out to be a star of a Bollywood movie engaged in by cute waiters speaking urdu/ hindi keeping me on the edge of patience, the guys had been for ages slowing their serving me a single glass of wine, before gained sufficient time for, surprisingly the most hot guy I have ever seen to appear and chase me un-discretely to my hotel well, though excited by the event, I did not have enough guts for anything more and have been left in forever dreams meanwhile, I would not mind to end the story so contact from Bollywood James Bond is most welcome Mrs.James.Bond@hotmail.com By the way, wine was ok.

\"Don't go to this restaurant\"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/05
We wanted to go to Ciudad Condal. But there was a long line there. So we decided to try someplace else. This place looked nice and the line there seemed shorter. While we were waiting for a table a group came down just saying: "Don't go this restaurant". I thought that maybe they were just unlucky. And I didn't want to wait any longer. So after about half an hour we got our table. The smell of burning bread was in the air. De table waitress wasn't that friendly and just shoved everything on the table. I think they just got the cheapest and unexperienced people to work there. The bread was indeed burned and soaked in the middle. I think i quit there about the food. It just wasn't good. Just go to the opposite corner of the crossroads and wait maybe a little longer for good food and friendly people. Maybe we were unlucky you think? Well the next day we had an organised tapas-tour. And what happens? The last stop in the tour is again this restaurant. We were thinking not to go because we were already stuffed in all the other good tapasbars. But no, we tried again. They didn't seem to appreciate the vouchers we got. Only 1 tapas per person and we had to share a drink. In all the other bars (example: Costa Gallega or Ba-ba-reeba) we got at least twice that. Another bad experience..... So again: Don't go to this restaurant.

Great Tapas
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/05
Wonderful restaurant in a great location just one block north of Place de Catalunya!! The tapas are without doubt the best I have sampled. Prices are unexpectedly low too, which is a bonus!!

Good food, warm friendship...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/20/05
La Tramoia has a great selection of tapas cuisine made fresh from regional foods. Mushrooms, choco (squid), sausages, and vegetables. We recommend selecting several dishes to make your meal an adventure! The cervesas (beers) are excellent, and the vino de espana (spanish wines) are extraordinary! La Tramoia's desserts will more than satisfy your sweet tooth! Service is very quick after you order and for good tips about the city, ask for Redounne Bilboa to be your server! If you can't decide from the menu, trust his judgement to bring you treats at a reasonable price. Great dining while viewing out onto the Grand Via and Catyluna area.
