This is the ideal spot for all Mexican-food lovers, a cuisine which has become popular the world over. The regulars, particularly young and a bit rowdy, are hooked on the fresh and spicy flavours of the best nachos in town, the burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and ceviches (marinated seafood salads). Of course, a good beer to soothe the burn best accompanies your meal. There are different sizes of beers available, even an XXL (yarda), which, once you figure out how to hold it, should last you the evening.
The first time I eat in to one of the Pancitos (there are two very close to eachother in central Barcelona) I felt like being in a kindergarten. You sit on low stools at low tables and eat with your fingers. But what a great place!! The service is fast and the food is served in small portions, so you can easily order in more if you underestimated your apetite. Start with guacamole and some cheese-covered nachoes and continue with a mild green or a spicier red enchillada (or why not try my friend's "super-explosivo" which is not even mentioned on the menu). Drink a yard of beer with your meal (a yarda) and treat yourself afterwards to a glass of one of the resturant's many tequilas. Enjoy!
