Description
This church was built between 1731 and 1734 by order of empress Anna Ioannovna on the spot where the wooden Archangel Michael Church had been founded in 1712. The church's main altar is consecrated in honor of Simon and Anne, the right-hand side-altar in honor of Archangel Michael and the left-hand side-altar in honor of Ephraim Sirin. The pretty yellow church has just one cupola but a multi-tiered bell-tower. The interior is decorated with paintings and a simple iconostasis.
