Mosque of the Congregation of Muslims (The)
The mosque was built between 1910 and 1920. Its design was based on the mausoleum of the 14th-15th century Pur-Emir in Samarkand. The grey granite dome and walls of the mosque are criss-crossed with windows, thus distinguishing it from other mosques further east. Inscriptions from the Koran decorate the facade. Two proportional minarets tower above the mosque. Within, the building is decorated with columns coated with artificial green marble and a chandelier with Koranic dictums carved into it.
