Its cozy and comfortable atmosphere distinguishes this bookstore from others. Shakespeare and Co was founded by an American university professor and the director of a Russian publishing house, and was inspired by a store in Paris that was frequented by Earnest Hemingway and Henry Miller. Shakespeare and Co. offers a regularly updated selection of British and American books of various genres, including fiction and scientific. On Saturdays, the store organizes presentations of new additions, literary discussions and book signings.
