Tile National Museum
Description
Situated in the Convento Madre de Deus, the Tile National Museum has an original Azulejos collection of the 15th century. It is possible to enjoy traditionally decorated Moorish mosaics and beautiful walls here. You'll also get an insight into how Lisbon was before the earthquake of 1755. The museum has a pleasant and well-decorated restaurant.
I enjoyed this very much as the tiles are wonderful and makes you wish you could have visited Lisbon prior to the earthquake.I love tiles, hence the visit, but was glad of a jacket as inside it was a bit on the cold side.
Well worth a visit. But take a taxi as it is easier and not expensive.
