Church of the Nuns of the Holy Sacrament
This beautiful green-domed church was the home of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament who were brought to Poland from France by Queen Maria Kazimiera Sobieska in 1687. The church was designed by Tylman van Gameren and is constructed as a Greek cross, which is covered by a dome placed on an octagonal drum. In retaliation, the Germans bombed the church and nearly a thousand people died. The church was rebuilt after the war in the years 1949-1953.
