Interesting If You Know Norwegian
The first part of this small museum does a fair job of tracing the technological history of cinema from laterna magicas and daguerrotypes all the way upto todays digital projectors. The second part covers Norwegian film history a features the original puppets from Norwegian director Ivo Caprions much-loved animated films. The exhibits are well explained, but the text is in Norwegian only.
The museum is part of the Norwegian Film Institute. In the building is also the Cinematek which almost every day has four screenings of movie classics. These are usually, as is the norm in Norway, in the original version with Norwegian subtitles.
