Magere "skinny" bridge dates back to the 17th century; the Golden Age of Amsterdam. It connects busy canals district of Amsterdam (center) to the more calm theaters district. Historic Carree theater and Stopera (town hall together with the modern multi-purpose opera/theater/concert complex). From thereon, you can have strol to Waterlooplein, historic center of the jewish community of Amsterdam and current fleamarket. The design of the bridge is simple yet esthetic and functional. 1200 lamps on it look quite romantic during evenings. Just five minutes away from busy Rembrandt plein but a away frim corwds and a passage to serenity. Both nice during daytime and a night time. Dont miss it..
