Corakemperman, Amsterdam

The Cora Kemperman windows pulled me into the store when I was in Amsterdam last week. The elegant styles in natural fabrics are beautifully designed and constructed. I bought a suitcase just to bring the designer's clothing back to the US to sell in my boutique. It's worth the trip to Amsterdam just to buy the gorgeous, edgy dresses and sportswear!

There's not much else to add to the other excellent reviews except that I live in London and am returning to Amsterdam soon JUST to visit this store!!! If you are sick of mass produced high street clothes and can't afford (or don't want)designer, this is THE place for girls in the know who want to stand out in a crowd. Having said that, she also does simplicity so beautifully that even a simple t shirt can be excuisite. Specializing in jewel colours and unstructured, high quality fabrics you'll find plenty to excite. Enjoy!

Cora Kemperman is my favorite shop in Amsterdam!! The people who work for her are ALWAYS friendly, ALWAYS well dressed (ofcourse, they wear cora's clothes). My name is Miranda. I am Dutch and have been living in Ireland for five years now..Twice a year I go back to Holland and the first thing I do when I arrive in Amsterdam is go to her shop!! I often buy something..I like her designs alot, they are not over the top, but still they are that little bit different, and affordable..good choice of colours too, and GOOD colours, the colours that are to become a trend.seasonable colours,.. Clothes wearable for any size woman...and ofcourse the best thing are the layers...... I am one of those "cora Kemperman" woman who just wants to look that little bit different and avoid being a sheep.. I have always been like this and that is why I was also very fond of Mag&Maggie years ago... it is very very hard to find nice/different clothes in ireland..most people just follow the magazines and dont even look in the mirror to see if things really suit them..I wish cora was in Ireland too.

The only thing I can say for the woman who likes to look different and lives in the US is that it is a pity that you cannot order from Cora Kemperman on the internet. I tried to buy one of each style while in Amsterdam. I would go back to Amsterdam just to shop in Cora Kemperman.

Ok, you might have to be American to know the old kids clothing line at Sears that had animal tags hanging off of them so you could match up proper animals. In Cora's shop, the clothes are sectioned off in color schemes with essentially all the same elements in each color. You can go one color all the way, or jump across the room and add another color to an outfit in progress. I have never worn an outfit from here without being asked where it came from or being told it was a Cora. It is an addiction and since I now live in Amsterdam, I hit this store often and hope for the half off sale to get really loaded up on all the goods I can carry. I never go on a holiday without at least 2 outfits from Cora. Its the one thing I will miss when we leave this town.
