Holland Casino Amsterdam, Amsterdam

I think it is a really nice casino, of course, I lost all my money... but had a good time.... My husband has to go to Amsterdam next week for work and I am going and plan to go to Casino while he works..... fun, fun, fun... I hope anyway. We loved it when we went before. very nice.

While on holiday in Europe I visited the Holland Casino in Amsterdam. On my second visit I was approached by security as I left and ushered into a security room. The two security personel were very aggressive and called me a cheat and loco and falsely accused me of placing a bet on the roulette table after the ball had landed. I was shocked and they arrested me and my son(who did not place the bet) The police arrived and we were locked up for approximately 20 hours and totally treated like common criminals.(handcuffed, strip searched and interogated) After all parties had been interviewed and the police had viewed the video footage the croupier was deemed to be responsible for calling a very late bet. He had accepted my bet and paid me at at the time. As he did for the lady alongside me. We were released after much stress and inconvenience. The security staff had bullied me into returning the winnings from that particular bet saying they would not let me leave the casino until I handed it over. I got the impression the police in attendance were supporting them. It was all very intimidating. Security agreed the money would be returned if I was found to be innocent-not likely. The money was not returned and we had great difficulty cashing chips which were purchased with our money. The staff still believe I was at fault and therefore we have been banned from this casino!! Interesting the detective on the case made it clear that many of these security staff are "ex cops" as he put it and take things too far. I cannt believe we were treated in such a way and strongly suggest you do not visit casinos in Holland as they are operating under the same licence and I don't believe they can be trusted. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! Totally spoilt our holiday! :(
