Preserved rabbit - a real treat!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/7/07
Our visit was a wonderful experience. Although both the venue and the service were a little formal the food was sublime and the overall experience was one to be treasured.
The preserved rabbit would not have been have been my choice from a carte, but that is the major benefit of a set menu. It was one of the most wonderful things I have ever eaten. Similarly with the salmon, bacon and onions. What could have been a disaster was a triumph - wonderfully balanced and seasoned. The lamb was probably the least sensational course, but still very good. The fireworks returned with the dessert. Very simple, but beautifully flavoured ingredients beautifully presented.
The wine list is comprehensive and expensive though we managed to find an acceptable Quincy which didn't break the bank.
Thanks for a memorable meal!
