Da Noi, Amsterdam

We used to visit this Italian no-nonsense restaurant. The next to last visit we had a bad experience, but we decided to return once more. It was a stream of incidents. 1. We were not allowed to order water, even though Amsterdam tap water is very pure. 2. We ordered lobster with white wine. Six appetizers were served. Because we had to go to the Movies (announced), we already started. When the other appetizers were served, the waitress asked "if we were hungry." 3. There was no lobster, but there was still meat we could order. I asked if the wine could be adjusted. "You also want a caraf of read?" 4. To break the ice, my daughter asked if she is Italian. She confirmed. I spoke Italian to her, but she did not respond. 5. We asked tenderloin medium to well- done. It was rare. This was to avoid "it would be spoiled." I know that is a risk, but a cook is supposed to handle it.
