Museo Correr, Venice

This place had a great cafe. My family had the most woderful time on the day. They shared there memories with all their friends after summer break!

The Piazza San Marco can be a little overwhelming but at the far end of the square lies the Correr Museum. We made the Correr Museum our first stop and it turned out to be a great one since it gives an excellent overview of the history of Venice. The museum is housed in a magnificent building with an imposing staircase. We bought a two part ticket that got us into the Correr as well as the Doge's Palace so it saved us time and I think a little money. The Murano glass chandeliers, the views of the Square and the Canal all made it a beautiful and peaceful experience in the midst of all the crowds down in the Piazza. Highly recommended.
