Vatican Museum (Musei Vaticani)
Musei Vaticani's unique art collection is exhibited in surroundings of unparalleled beauty. The magnificent Raphael Rooms are among the masterpieces of the collection, where each room is decorated with frescoes by great artists. The best known is The School of Athens, in which contemporary artists appear as classical characters (Leonardo da Vinci, for example, appears as Plato). The Sistine Chapel is the museum's finest treasure, and features Michelangelo's famous Last Judgement. He was one of many artists including Perugino, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio and Pinturicchio who contributed to the chapel.
Really nothing it was very fun and i found it to be the best experience of my life i will never forget it i also would recommmend it to peaple who are big in history but it was very fun and i will never forget it
i liked it because of all of the paintings that there were of famouse painters were and that there was some things that i didnt like the service was awful and the people there were very disrespect full
This is a must when you come to room. Everything there is beautiful. It is so huge that if you don't know where you are going you could spend all day lost. So I recommended doing a tour. The Viator one we did was great. Also make sure you skip the line, because it would take so long. The Sistine Chapel really was amazing. I recommend that ladies bring a scarf, because it is really hot, but you need to have you're solders covered. Don't miss it, but don't spend more than 3 hours in it.
We we enjoying our tour, having prepaid for our tickets and arriving at opening time; when suddenly we were informed that the museum was closing 4 hours early. We do not read Italian so we had no pre-warning. We rushed through the museum to see 15 min of Sistene Chapel. Beautiful museum but staff functions on their own time. Should have complained.
You cant go to italy without going to the vaticani and Experiencing the beauty it has to offer! if your going i would highly highly recommend get a tour guide. There is so much to know and it impossible to get the full effect by reading a pamphlit. I absolutly loved it and would go through the same tour again.
