I could have eaten every meal at this restaurant while I was in Rome!

The fried artichokes are worth a trip to Rome!!! They are delicious - the restaurant is famous for them. The fried cod was excellent also. Giggetto is a very large restaurant on the inside with tables on the sidewalk outside under an awning. Although the restaurant seats dozens of people, the service is excellent and the waiters are friendly, smiling, and helpful. The pasta was excellent also. Of course, the fact that the restaurant is setting next to the Portica d'Ottavia makes the location a great one -- as well as being just a block from the wonderful Jewish Museum. All in all, some of the best food in Rome -- and clearly a "local" popular restaurant. I recommend that you go out of your way to have lunch or dinner at the Giggetto!!! Just give the taxi driver the address and have him take you there.
