Quinzi Gabrieli, Rome

We were in Rome celebrating my son's 40th birthday and we could not have picked a better restaurant to celebrate this special occasion. The food was excellent with sumptous seafood dishes. Complimentary wine to start off with put us in a great mood. Somewhat expensive but well worth it !!! A great dining experience !!!!

I booked for a party of 6 on the night of Feb 13. It was confirmed on the previous Weds. On arrival we were shown to a table and then told that in fact our reservation had been cancelled by the restaurant the previous evening as we had not been available to take a phone call from them to confirm. What followed was despicable rudeness from a truely arrogant and most unsavoury Maitre D'. The owner simply ignored his rudeness and we left. My advice if you want an enjoyable evening in Rome steer well clear of Quinzi & Gabrieli. Our friends from Dublin who dined there later that night found it to be overly pompous and stupidly expensive.

We reserved at this restaurant on an important occasion, my wife's 40th birthday. A party of six, and we were really looking forward to it. It ended up the most frustrating and disappointing evening ever. When the head waiter figured out that we were not going to order the most expensive items on the menu, we were totally ignored for the next 3 hours -- the time it took us to all be served. Dishes arrived late, cold, and in the wrong order, waiters had to be physically intercepted to pick up dirty dishes, the atmosphere was disdainful and nouveau-riche -- an awful experience: there are so many better seafood restaurants in Rome, any of them would be better value than this.

very good seafood, and hospitable waiters. starter, first dish, main, dessert are very good. even the bread is maybe house-made? it's with olive inside, nice. the spaghetti with lobster is delicious, but cost 60euro. quite expensive. overall very good. will be great if it can be not that expensive. but I may not expect to get such good food in cheaper place.

Tucked away on a side street,comfortable and cozy.Great wine list.Top quality seafood,served professionally and prepared from competent crew.Miles away from competion.Don't expect low prices,but a lot of value for your money. A must!

even though the bill was not inexpensive, we went back three times. we had a wonderful montepulchiano at a reasonable price. the menu was full, and everything on the menu we tasted was excellent. they gave a complimentary champagne to start,as well as small hors derves, and a complimentary taste of small desserts.the wait staff was attentive but not overbearing.they did not rush us through the meal.
