Brandi, Naples

I wound up many a late night of parting and playing music at Brandi when I was a member of the CINCSOUTH Band (La Banda della NATO) in the middle 60's. The best pizza I have ever tasted anywhere. And cozze prepared just right. Never mind the worst beer I've ever tasted (Peroni) but who's going to drink beer in Naples! The waiters and food were the very best. Brandi will always have a special place in my memory from those wonderful carefree "giorni di Napoli". (And Bill Clinton ate there, too!)

Ny nephew who lives in Napoli took me here, we had LaMargritta Pizza and it was great. The service was great too. Of course it wasn't rushed so americans may not like.

Service is OK! Pizza and other dishes was fantastic Just a little bit expensive but the place is very cool!! I've got the best pizza with seafoods (they call it Don Ferdinando) of my life! Try also fresh eggs pasta with prawns (Pacheri con gaberoni) that are really wonderful.Believe me!

I work on a cruise ship and we went into Naples every week. No matter where we try to go eat, we always end up at Brandi's. It's Italy!...people dine at their own pace here so don't expect fast service which will give you a chance to savour and enjoy the food and environment. I've been there about 8 times and everytime, the service is good and funnily enough, I have never seen the same waiters there except for one guy. The buffalo mozzarella, Spaghatti with baby clams and 4 cheeses pizza are among my favorite and believe me...I have eaten at enough restaurants and pizzarias all over Italy and I can still say that this is and will always remain my favorite!

Hey it may be the birthplace of Pizza, but this place is an all out tourist trap. The food is mediocre at best. The waiters are rude and unaccomodating. I've been here three times with people who insisted on going and each time, it was awful! I've had the waiter refuse my requests three times in one night, everything I ordered was 'finished'. Really, stay away. This place is not even a one star. Oh, and expect to sit practically with another table. There's no room at all, your chair is constantly bumped. Just awful!

Located in the heart of downtown Napoli. The pizza is great so is the spaghetti ai frutti di mare (mixture of shellfish and octopus). They have been serving Pizza Margherita since 1889 and it is said that pizza was invented here. The location is perfect for a late dinner after an opera at the San Carlo opera house or for lunch after a stroll and shopping off Via Chiaia. Do not expect the same rapid service of the USA as they take things slow here. I highly recommend to try the local favorite white wines, Falanghina or Greco di Tuffo, you will be pleased. Remember Brandi's offers more than pizza but pizza is their specialty. Buon appettito!

Straight tourist trap. They must pay an outrageous price for their PR. Service was poor and servers were dishonest with the check. Wanted a gratuity along with the "coperto" and the grat that we added. Along with all of this, the food was NOT as others in Napoli. Definitely NOT worth the trip.

Totally overrated! Pizza was horrible, not great..service was unpolite. It was as if they were doing us a favor! Prices reflected it all!
