10 Corso Como Cafe
Found in Corso Como, one of Milan's most frequented and fashionable spots for nightlife, this is a favourite haunt for locals as well as foreigners and models. A deliberately simplistic, even minimalistic, atmosphere creates a striking canvas for the artistic presentation of the delicate international cuisine. The food goes down well with the house drinks and non-stop music.
The ambiance is good, way back from the busy streets. Spend a splendid evening with the family there. The servants were fine.
Yeh, maybe a little too much money for digestive value, but still a nice place to be.
We got in Nice from one guy-architect a recommendation for Como Corso 10 at Milan, so we paid a visit ... and nothing got back! I have to say that the place has a character, the ambience of the place is unique ... but the chef should go back to school ... I have eaten all around the world, in pubs, in Michelin star restaurants, in Cafes in Fastfoods ... but when someone tries to make a cuisine with no taste knowledge ... it is simply terrible. I have ordered as primi piati a gnochi with tomato and pesto, my wife ravioli con spinachi etc. ... Gnochi came overcooked, tomato sauce saw the pesto from TGV (very fast rain) and tomato sause from can has more flavour. Ravioli from my wife .. you can get better in any supermarket with fresh deliveries. ... but it was edible!!! The best is to come grilled lamb with potato puree for 10 Euro (just puree costs 10 Euro) I have eaten far better puree for 10 Euros, and Lamb, I just gave it back with words, sorry it has no meat on it. Chef said, well it is special lamb with no meet, I asked why do you have it on card than? ... he said: people here like it ... meaning, models with anorexia who like to chew a meat-gum on bone. People !!! on 4 chops I found like 1 cm3 of meat ... OK, I could choose anything else from menu (plus point) I thought that with beef carpaccio I can not go wrong, well not exactly ... I knew that it will be raw meat, but honestly it was very fine piece of nice beef, only problem was that dressing had only olive oil in it. Sorry but just to chew a raw meat is not a high standard of cuisine, it is like, coming from a butcher and having no clue how to make a dish, so he put a few slices of beef on the plate. .... but this is all about me¨.. my wife, she had a chicken, grilled chicken, ... very ordinary chicken, apart of the banana leaf under it, it was very ordinary chicken. ... After all, service was just ordinary too, lady had a basics of the a la carte service, on all she was saying "It is OK" sometimes meaning as a question, sometimes as monologue, but never waited for an answer. But .. there was one older waiter, good class!!! Without his help i would be leaving restaurant very unsatisfied and disappointed, but he showed the best diplomacy and service experience skills comparable with micheline star restaurants. ... well I have one recommendation, you want to go to the Como Corso 10? GO!!! but take a wine, coffe, cake, cocktail, do not touch a food, unless they do major changes in kitchen. You want to get good italian meal? Go to the top floor of the laRinascente shop next to the Dom and you will be spoiled with Italian cuisine of your dreams for half a price of the Como Corso 10, which value for the money is NO VALUE AT ALL. Nice ambience, but that is all ... Thanks for reading such much .. Robert Jasek
I can see why visitors are attracted to this place. It's tucked away from the street and filled with beautiful people. But the food and drink prices are simply ridiculous for what you get. Soak up the atmosphere at the funky shop on the main floor and bookstore upstairs, but head down the block to the Brera district to eat.
We loved everything! Shopping at the store, drinks outside and a fantastic dinner made this an experience to remember and not to be missed. The wait staff was extremely attentive to our table yet quietly making it seem like things happened magically without them. It will be a place to return to when back in Milan. Thanks!
If you enjoy fusion food, you'll love Corso Como's restaurant for dinner. But keep in mind that the ambiance outweighs everything. Corso Como 10 is a great place to check out the vintage fashion pieces (in their store), hard to find music and art books (in the music and bookstore upstairs), check out a showing (in the art gallery upstairs) and to get a great aperitivo (at the caffe). Be sure to make lots of time to shop and get thre before the stores close if you're going for dinner.
