Cracco-Peck, Milan

I liked the service, excellent. But I missed the noise of a busy place. Very, very expensive. If you are dating someone and need to impress, that isthe place.

There are two Peck. One is for lunch, one is for dinner. I went to one of them for lunch, place is pretty. Food looks fancy and pricy. Its alright, I prefer BICE, tho

The service is supposed to be very good such that you leave for the restrooms and immediately they replace your napkin and literally clean your seat with a fancy brush, they taste the wine before serving you etc. Very fancy, but on one occasion they did try to take away a friend's plate although he was still unfinished, and in general the food is not the best I have had. I would say one pays for the fanciness of the restaurant not for value.

The deli is amazing. AMAZING. The One-star upstairs serves food from the deli, at an only-slightly higher prices, and with truly excellent service. The Two-star around the corner is . . . well, funny. We walked in on a Friday afternoon and we told at the door by the tuxedo-clad "host" that only reservations were accepted. We asked to make one and he refused us, giving us a business card instead. We walked to the deli, waited a few minutes, and called for a reservation for that afternoon. We were asked if the evening would do instead, and were only then told that they do not serve at all in the afternoon. We then asked for an evening reservation and were told there was no availability. Seriously.

We had a dinner at Cracco Peck with 16 people. They had a room reserved for us. When we arrived, they had prepared 4 menu's for us to choose from. 4 people per menu. When we asked if more than 4 could eat a particular menu, the answer was ' no ' . The waiter ruined the whole evening. He was very rude. He said ' no ' , when I told him I wanted to drink Presecco with my dinner. He said ' no ' , when I wanted a bite of someone elses risotto. For the price we paid, about $ 150 euros, not including the wine, he should be working at Mc Donalds, not Cracco Peck.

We had a very nice lunch in Pecks in their second floor dining room. The service was flawless and the presentation of the food was a work of art. My only reservation was the expense. This is a very expensive restaurant, but if you want to splurge this is the place to do it.
