Il Latini, Florence

I have been to the Il Latini twice...both times where great. Best steak and Bean soups. Staff was great and you can't beat the value. It's crowded but that is part of the fun.

This place is not for the shy, nor the unfriendly, nor for the people who can't handle Italian energy and charm. If you want a quiet private candelight dinner go somewhere else. If you want to have a ball, meet people sitting with you, laugh a lot and have really fun food and waitstaff - ah it is great. At there in May of 08. Yes, had the line out front, we chatted with others, and watched the cooks and waitstaff enjoy their meal. Then great commotion as they moved table snd prepared for us, their guests. The doors were opened and it wasn't long before we were inundated with good wine, good food, happy energetic waitstaff, and raucaus happy guests. We walked back to your hotel thoroughly enchanted.

Il latini will forever stick out in my mind as my most memorable dinner. While you wait outside on the cobblestone street, they bring you cheese and wine for free. Once inside, you sit family style down long tables. We ate 5 courses, drank magnums of wine and our bill was less than 50 euros a person. After dinner, we were escorted down to the secret wine room. There is a table down there and you are surrounded by millions of wonderful bottles of wine. Pick out a wine, have a seat and enjoy private service. You must experience Il Latini!!!

The Steaks are huge and very delicious. You only need one steak for two people. The atmosphere was very friendly and the wine is great. You don't want to miss this place.

Restuarant was full of tourists and it was a nightmare to get in reservation or not. Staff did everything they could to avoid giving a menu, as result we had a very limited choice and did not know the cost of what we were ordering. Very average.

Loved everything about the restaurant and the staff. They made us feel like family. Definitely make reservations becuase the wait is long f you don't.

such a fun atmosphere. You are seated with people you do not know, but know after a night of fantastic dining. The wait staff is superb.

This place is loads of fun, and was the best value my wife and I found Italy. Drink all the red wine you want. Just follow along with whatever the waiter suggests and you'll get a good meal. Make friends with the other people at the table, whether you speak their language or not. We've eaten in restaurants all over the world and have never had as much fun and interaction with fellow diners in our lives!

We have eaten there once before and have recommended it to many of our friends traveling to florence, it is the best. Not the place if you are looking for ambiance, being from NYC we are not looking for that, the service and management truly appreciate your business and you in turn can appreciate the very good food. A fun and delicious nite out.

Wow! Is all I can say. This resturant was amazing. Go, if you are looking for real italian food, and service! But for some advice make sure you are there standing in line before it opens. People wait to get into this resturant and when they get hungry they push and comments are made that are pretty heated. Don't worry though - once you step in the resturant it will be worth every push and shove! Seriously . . it is worth it!
