Rivoire, Florence

I love this place, everythime i can i stop by between flights, its amazing the atmosphere, not to mention the sights indoor and outdoors, love the pastries with cholate filling, snakcs, paninis..everything.

me and my moms early evening stop off place either a campari or a bottle of dry white! fantastic style, and an amazing staff. we watched them set up a fabulous wedding party and buffet, then returned later to sit and watch the event unfold! amazing!!! ciao

Everything was delicious and the atmosphere is unique in the world. Best hot chocolate, best snacks, and best "aperitivo'...ah, I'd go back in seconds. Forget Paris, Florence is where the culture and the "dolce vita" is at!

The hot chocolate was the food highlight of my trip to Florence which was full of lovely meals. The extensive selection of pastries and chocolates were full of great choices (we went back three times) and there was also nice chocolate bars to take home. Standing at the bar is less expensive then sitting but both inside and outside have some of the best seats in Florence in a prime location. Back to the hot chocolate, I had a friend pick up a bag for me when he went to Florence a few years later. It is really that good.

My husband & I just spent 3 wonderful days in Florence on our 2 week tour of Italy. This great little find (we had no prior knowledge of this place) was one of the highlights of our trip! It had begun raining (Sat.Sept.13) and we just wanted somewhere to sit for a moment. They had the umbrellas opened over all the tables & it was just so inviting. There was just a tad of a chill in the air, so I decided on the hot chocolate. OH MY!!! Delicious! My husband had a cappucino. We also had the Grandfather and Grandmother cake. Very good. Our waiter was the perfect little Italian grandfatherish gentleman! Sitting in this wonderful square, with the rain, all the people walking by, watching the horse-drawn carriage.... really magical. Loved it so much we were back the next evening with the same waiter. He let me take his photo:) You don't want to miss this. Signed, MISSING ITALY

This is my favorite place in Florence to have a caffe latte or cappuccino! It is definitely cheaper to drink at the bar, but it is nice to sit down and treat yourself to the experience. Whether you sit inside or outside, you can't beat the service! The waiters at Rivoire are all so nice and very friendly. I guarantee that the staff will make the trip to Rivoire worth it. I have been to Florence twice and Rivoire is my main place for coffee and sweets any time of day. Their chocolate is the best chocolate I have ever tasted! Definitely worth going to when you are in Florence!

This café has it all. Location, pastries, deserts and the best cappuccinos in all of Florence. The best time to experience the café is in evening when the sky is clear and the stars are out.

This was one of the highlights of our time spent in Florence. Ambience, food, and above all service. My sister-in-law loved the wine chiller and asked if one was for sale. The waiter said he didn't think so, but came back 15 min later with a price. What a memory!

The location was perfect at what ever time of the day we visited Rivoire. Great in the evening listening to music being played. Food good, presentation excellent and service good too. All in all the essence of Firenze

I have been going to Tuscany for the past 13 years...and I always spend time at the magnificent Revoire Caffe...The entire staff are now like family...and Luigi, the head waiter, always seats me at Table One...! I have been introduced to many of the Florentines and royalty from Europe and Jordan while there...And the view is incomparable with the Cellini, and Giambolgna statues all around you...My favorite of all is Giambologna's Rape of the Sabine...Bellisimo...! Go and be thrilled...but, please, leave Table One for Donaldino..!
