Description

Popular with a young crowd, this huge American-style restaurant in the heart of the city's medieval district is always busy, no matter what time of day. While waiting for a table, catch up on music videos, cartoons and films shown on TV screens or have a drink at the long, marble bar. As well as great pizza and hamburgers served with chips and salad, tasty sweet or savoury crepes are made while you wait and there's a wide selection of beers and cocktails. Cinema and theatregoers are entitled to a 10% discount, just remember to show your ticket.

Agree - NEVER go to Danny Rock!

I was with the diner who wrote the previous review. The problem lies in the change of ownership/management. I had been to this restaurant first in 2006 and I had no complaints at all. Food was good, service was good and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Unfortunately this is the third time I've eaten there. I can't recommend a place that serves rock hard cold hamburger buns, cold fries, and is without the balls to apologise for serving cold food, and above all, for failing to remove the plastic sheeting that divides its hamburger patties. Thumbs down Danny Rock - you've dropped the ball big time!!

Never eat at this restaurant

Before even sitting down there was a horrible smell in the restaurant. The service was horrible! There was a total of 10 people in the entire place and we still waited for 45 minutes for 4 burgers. Once the food finally arrived it was cold, and one of the burgers had a very large piece of plastic to go with it. The manager/owner did not even come to apologize. All in all this is the worst restaurant in all of florence and should not be considered "American cusine".

I had the great pleasure of eating at Mr. Cresci" delightful establishment and would recommend it to everyone looking for great food and wonderful atmosphere

Definitely GO!

Being an American student abroad in Florence, you definitely begin to miss the things you could do without back home. Macaroni & Cheese, ranch dressing and good old American cheeseburgers! Danny Rock is the best hamburger I have ever had aside from Hamburger Marys here in California. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table, even with a large group. I went there about 10 times over 3 months and it was delicious every time. Their salads are just as good as their burgers, especially the insalata un po, with heart of palm and ripe tomatoes. Pastas are good as well, but if you go only one, please have a burger! Their pizzas are excellent too! Anything really is a good bet!
