Best pasta I ate in all of Italy
My friend & I loved this place. We were told to go there 'if you like good food' by another couple at a fairly ho-hum restaurant - they were so right! We ate outside on one evening in the little courtyard, and loved the food so much we went back for lunch the next day.
We just squeaked in as they were starting to close down, but they happily said yes, they could fit us in (just), smiled, and graciously gave us a table and dished up a plate of the fiochette al pera to both of us. Fiochette pasta was stuffed with cheese & pear, served in a creamy cheese sauce with tiny bits of asparagus.
I had rhapsodized so much over it to my friend that she wanted to eat it too, while I was thrilled to have it a second time. Everything was just wonderful and I can STILL taste that pasta. I ate at a lot of good places in Italy - that pasta was the best of anywhere, and it's good value for money.
