I Quattro Amici, Florence

My hubby and I simply fell in love with the food, in particular the home made pasta. It was heavenly and glorious...though I was rather sick on that day, the food's presentation was so appetising that I couldn't control to have a mouthful. In no time, I was literally finishing all the food, much to the surprise and perhaps 'chagrin' of my hubby (he had already finished his food and was hoping that there could be extra servings from mine)!

Upon recommendation of our hotel concierge, we decided to try I Quattro Amici. After perusing the menu for a few minutes, my companion and I decided on the sea bass for 2. The presentation alone was worth the money. The entire fish, covered in sea salt, was brought out to the table. The waiter proceeded to take all the salt off the fish, then take the skin off, then remove the meat from the bones. It was probably one of the best meals I have had in a long time. It is not inexpensive, but we got a lot of personal attention from the wait staff. I would definitely go back to this restaurant the next time I go to Florence.

I have lived in Florence for the last two years, and love it. But let's face it , a person can only eat so much Bistecca Fiorentina, carpaccio, or Tagliata di Manzo before their tastebuds start screaming "Basta!" I Quattro Amici is the freshest, tastiest, and loveliest seafood restaurant I have experienced in Florence.

We spent a couple weeks in Italy last year for our honeymoon. We traveled to many cities and this restaraunt was one of two of our favorite places to eat. The seafood is amazing. Enjoy!
