A rip off and a fake

Mexico is a long way from Cork. Thus it is easy to cheat the good-faith Corkonian into believing that Cafe Mexicana is a decent Mexican restaurant.
It is a mediocre -- at best -- eatery with an overpriced menu and awful service.
Nachos are served so overheated that are soggy -- they are supposed to be served crispy and crunchy, from the top to the bottom-most one. The beef salad is a mix of blant lettuce, overcooked potatoes, and badly seasoned grilled meat. Fajitas are served with excessively warmed tortillas that are so dry that they begin to crack as you try to wrap your food in them.
The service is spotty -- at its best. Our waitress came to our table once to take our order and once to bring our plates. She never came back to see if there was anything that we needed.
At the end, our party of four paid 85 Euros for 4 entrees, one marguerita (that is a generous serving of the non alcoholic mix with a drop, perhaps, of tequilla), and one Corona.
