Scoozi's, Cork

Went for a family meal at Scoozis and while the Restaurant is clean and the staff were excellent, the quality of the food, portion sizes and the price for same was disappointing. STARTERS: Bruschetta was thrown together and was presented poorly. Mushrooms were delicious, but the portion was small. KIDS MEALS: 150ml cans (airline size) of minerals served with kids meal is mean to put it mildly. The kids did enjoy the nuggets and chips which did look ok. MAIN COURSE: My son got a pizza which was small, burnt at the edges and had a soggy base. @ €14 Portions of chips and coleslaw served with the burgers were small, the coleslaw served in a tiny holder which could have doubled as an egg cup. Chili burger was a burger with some sweet chili sauce poured over it. Cab Calloway was nice. All in all we paid €70 for the 2 starters, 2 burgers, 1 pizza and 2 kids meals (nuggets and chips). No drinks. Overpriced to put it mildly. And certainly overpriced considering the quality and quantity of the food served. Time for Scoozis to think again. We certainly won't be returning.

some times u order food and u can tell its 100% home made this was one of those times pizza chips and garlic bread ill admit when i left i felt slightly unwell but only because i could not bring my self to leave the last peace of garlic bread :) set perfectly near the shops but in a quiet corner if good food and friendly service is what you want then scoozi's is the place to head for

Scoozi's is great spot for when you have the HUNGER. If its the Spicy Chicken Wings, our the gorgeous burgers, if your hungry you won't be dissapointed. The staff are so nice in there, and the food is great value.

Scoozis is a great little place in the centre of Cork city, very quaint decor and guaranteed to have a 'buzzing' (but not stressful) ambience. Its cheap food done well, burgers, pizzas, spicy chicken wings with a very passable steak also featured on the menu. Desserts are particularly delicious if a little too big. There is very little to dislike about Scoozis once you know its an informal place to meet and chat with friends not a place to impress snooty in-laws!!

scoozis- when you first go in. the restaurant layout and feel is very family-friendly. there was food that suited children and good simple food for adults. it had a relaxed atmosphere. The desserts. wow. the desserts are to die for. i would reccomend scoozis for families. the only thing is scoozis is slightly squashed not really for those who want a private dinner!

The food was excelent and plentiful. The staff were courtious and if its a sweet tooth you have the deserts are to die for. I highgly recommend the vanilla cheesecake mmmmm :)

Loved the food, the music, the staff are very friendly too. They welcome kids wich is great (colouring pack and lovely kiddy meal) A very warm athmosphere. check out their desserts!

pastas are awful (taste flour in carbonara sos), chicken overcooked (like been cooked few hours before sale), and its highly overpriced compare to any other fast food places in Cork Pizzas are alright

If you've got kids, you might like this place because it's a pretty good value and they have accomodations for children, including high chairs. However, if you like real Italian food, or your health, do not go here! The food is gross and way too soaked with butter a la the Irish tradition, and the dishes can get scary... don't even ask me about "chicken parcels with garlic mayo." Maybe they've improved in the last few years--and maybe you don't care how they treat employees, but when I worked there in 2002, nearly EVERYONE on staff was rude to me, the conditions were dangerous (carrying 30-lb bins of dirty dishes up wet stairs about 20 times per day in slippy shoes... I saw more than one person fall), and the managers were like Satan personified. If you want a really good pizza, go one door to the right and eat at Ginos! Also good for kids, they serve better food and their staff seem much happier!
