Marie Kristensen Sandwich Bar
Description
This is one of the first sandwich bars of its kind in Budapest. Owned by a Polish/Danish couple, it has an international crowd and a warm atmosphere. It is relaxed and comfortable and after you are done with your food, you will want to stay for a while rather than rush out. Sandwich specialties include toppings like tuna, smoked cheese, bacon, egg-cream, salmon etc. and the prices depend on the size of the baguette or whether or not you are having wholewheat bread (259 Ft- 958 Ft). The Danish carrot cake (99 Ft) is also delicious.
the sandwiches are decent, but the selection is smaller then on the menu-or we weren't lucky with our selection. the danish cake is quite nice and the staff friendly.
