Oktoberfest, MüNCHEN

Oktoberfest is a two-week festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany during late September and early October. It is one of the most famous events in the city and the world's largest fair, with some six million people attending every year. We spent two nights and four days in Munich. First we headed straight into town to explore the old town center, which like all European cities has a large collection of elaborate buildings from times past. We headed into the Oktoberfest with our German friends and after a couple of one-litre mugs of beer, some schnapps; we soon got into the swing of things. We spent most of our time in the hopping from beer tent to beer tent, and it was great to see all the locals dressed in their traditional costumes, and dancing on the tables.
