Augustinerkeller
Description
Augustinerkeller is the only really traditional beer garden left in the city centre and serves up big glasses of tasty beer. Thanks to an ancient law dating back to the days when Bavaria had a monarchy, guests are allowed to bring their own food; but there's really no need, as the traditional fare served here is good-value and tasty. The clientele is mixed, with families, students, business people, locals and tourists. The beer is reputed to be the best in Munich and costs EUR4.75 for a one-litre glass. The beer garden closes at 10.30pm.
