Inaugurated in 1997, this special annual event showcases six museums that open their doors to the public from 10am to midnight. As well as seeing the regular exhibitions, visitors can take part in special events and visit the museum workshops. Entrance is just EUR5; details are available from the participating museums: Hamburger Kunsthalle, Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe, Deichtorhallen, Kunstverein and Klosterwall. It's big, it's in Hamburg and it's worth visiting.
This used to be where the circus performed, hence the name. Now it has been transformed into a state of the art 'future town'.
Among it's futuristic attractions they have a tardis toilet.. it looks small from the outside but once I saw 7 men in leather with moustaches go into it at the same time - amazing.
To preserve the cleanliness and glimmer of the town the like to keep pigeons away from this part of Hamburg. They have these large things - like the things that zap flies except bigger (much bigger)- and when pigeons fly anywhere near it they get fried.
