El Malecon Restaurant, New York

For me the place is over rated but the food is good, as in a little better than average and prices are good. Place is usually business but since I lived in the I would have take out. this place really bbq chicken. The biggest plus is that they are always open so if you been out late and night and need some food you can always drop in here and get a huge plate for 5 or 6 dollars.

Best chicken and mondongo soup. The waiter was on the ball at all times, I think he was Dominican, I drive 1200 miles to get there and everytime that I go there I leave with a smile.

Best Chicken and Seafood place I've ever been to. I'd call the prices reasonable and worth every penny. They serve generous portions of food and the wait staff was courteous and prompt. They didn't hover over you and keep coming back every 5 minutes or so to bother you. Some places like to get people in and out. The language barrier is not an issue either. As another reviewer pointed out people from all walks of life and cultures come here. This is one of those undiscovered treasures and my friend and I will definitely be going back there real soon.

To: El Malecon en broadway There is a cooworker that always is harrasing the ladies, I think he is the oldest one,somethimes cleaning tables or just supervising the only one wearing glasses and a little heavy, spanish of course, he dont even respect ladies when they come along and eat there and and even my wife was a victim of this person, she got tired of this matter and we are thinking of not coming to this place anymore. Just dont want to take any further action if you know what I mean... Food is perfect and the attention of the rest of the crew is fantastic, thanks for everything else guys.

Crowded b'cuz it's a very popular place but the food is great.
