Basilikum, Cologne

The name Basilikum stands for for quality dining: Margaret Juchem's love of cooking entices and spoils her guests. Without losing that personal touch, she uses French and Italian influences to produce a wonderful melting pot of spectacular dishes. It goes without saying that this experienced chef seasons her dishes with an ample amount of fresh herbs. In spite of the name, tarragon, majoran and chervil are used equally as much in the exquisite fish and meat dishes as Basilikum (German for basil)! A main course is approximately (EUR 15), sophisticated appetizers are around (EUR 8). It is highly advisable to make a reservation at the bistro-like restaurant; even on Sundays for the 3-course lunch menu.
