The former dancehall next to the Theater des Westens was turned into a cinema in 1949. And with 720 seats and an enormous screen, Delphi Filmpalast am Zoo is one of Berlin's largest arts cinemas. The show here begins before you even enter the building. The garden is full of strange obelisks and sculptures of wild beasts which glare at you through menacing eyes. And once inside, you'll have to deal with crowds all racing for the best seats.
