Jimmy's Diner
Description
Ludwigkirchplatz - a pretty square just south of Kurfürstendamm - is reminiscent of those dull, middle-class spa towns in West Germany. Such is the case here, for just around the corner is a strip bristling with traditional (and tacky) American diners. The original, the oldest and the coolest of these is Jimmy's Diner - where the waitresses have the shortest skirts, the red leather seats are the plushest, and the burgers are the best in town. If you like the furniture so much you want to take it home with you, head for Jukeland in Schöneberg.
