Nordsee is an expanding chain of fish restaurants with 300 branches in Germany, 16 of which are in Berlin. Founded in the northern city of Bremen a hundred years ago, Nordsee shot to fame in the seventies with hearty fish dishes at knock-down prices. Most branches have a fresh fish counter and a few tables where you can dig into your north sea specialities. The larger branches have proper restaurant sections.
