Bistro Romain (Le)
Description
This long-established restaurant is discreet and professional. Be wary if you sit in the rooms upstairs though, as there's a danger the staff will forget about you. The decor is mainly red and there's a terrace, which catches the midday sun. The menu always offers carpaccio of salmon with dill, and beef with basil, served with pasta or French fries. The chiffonnade de jambon (ham), and terrine de saumon (potted salmon) are always excellent. For dessert there is carpaccio again, this time with orange and cinnamon or pineapple. It's a popular place so book a table in advance.
Bright and breezy, both the decor and the food. We really enjoyed our meals and sat on the terrace which is great for people watching and soaking up the atmosphere. We will definately be going again.
