Standing in a direct line between the Louvre and the Grande Arche de la Défense, the monument links the past with the present and offers amazing views. A truly impressive landmark, 164 feet high and 147 feet wide, Paris would not be Paris without it!

WORTH VISITING AGAIN AND AGAIN

in fact napoleon bonaparte left this monument to keep history of france present ever. A very nice place to visit. A pride for paris,. Too much traffic jam however and lots of noise.too many visitors throughout the day and night. Worth going there whilst in france through les champs elysees. We were there in feb 2009 and took many snaps. Could not get the chance to view it at night as eiffel tower.will make it sooner.regards.

Look both ways!

This was my second time to the Arc. The first was during the day. Second was at night. I liked it much better at night. It looks amazing all lite up. It is worth the trip there. But be careful crossing the street, you take your life in your own hands.

The number of cars driving around make you feel lie your in a game of frogger! The architecture is great! It's a once in a lifetime chance!

All roads lead to the center of Paris.....or so the pictures show anyway.The beautiful Arc is the place where Parisans held their flags high for their 1998 World Cup win and joined together with Bastille Day over a million proud Frenchmen partied long and hard.

I always dreamed of seeing the ark. and when I went to paris in jan 2008 i wasnt disapponited. to me paris woulnt be paris without it . Because I went in january there whent too many people .it really is the most impressive structure ive ever seen

The Detail Up Close is Unbelievable

You can only get to the Arc de Triomphe from a passageway that goes under it. (Don't confuse it with the subway entrances.) Lots of people. Don't bother with the tour of the inside and the top, esp. if you are planning to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Check out the view from the Millennium Wheel is far better and more exciting.

The Arc de Triomphe : The Arc of majestic beauty

It was really interesting. The art work was astounding, breathtaking, it was very impressive. I personally loved it it was gorgeous and beautiful. I loved it the beaty if it all is that it hadf so much deatial and you could see how hard they worked on it.

Giant traffic cone

With all the zooming, honking traffic surrounding the Arc de Triomphe, it was hard to reconcile the structure with the old new reels from WWII. It's almost better viewed from afar.

I have dreamed of going back!!!

I loved the whole experience of Paris, but the Arc was very captivating. The pictures that I have seen of the Arc did not do the justice of seeing it at a distance or upclose. I prefer the night. I enjoyed the stroll to see the Arc. And the wild traffic to get the perfect kodak shots. When I was there I felt like an American in Paris ( the musical).
