Avenue des Champs-Élysées
Stretching for two kilometers (one mile) and lined with trees, les Champs-Élysées has become the center for festivities and official parades. It is a magnet for tourists and for the multitudes who enjoy evenings spent strolling along the broad and picturesque avenue. The many cinemas, cafes, and restaurants tempt visitors to rest their legs for a few hours, tired from walking by the designer boutiques, banks, and embassies also situated in this chic neighborhood. The avenue was originally created in 1667 by André Le Nôtre, Louis XIV's gardener, in order to improve the view from the Jardin des Tuileries. The avenue was lengthened at the end of the 18th Century, to run from the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe.
I have a single word to say: Amazing.
Champs-Elysees is a one and only place in the world, the atmosphere is so fascinating... It's a truly special place... I can't even find the words to describe it... you should see it for yourself...
Champs-Elysees is one of the most beautiful mile-long stretch of road that I've ever seen. It's got the coolest shops and thing to see, and if you're walking up to the Arc de Triomphe, it will be one of the most unforgettable experiences that you will have in Paris. If you're hungry, though, and don't want to spend a lot on food, avoid this street like the plague, and go into one of the little side streets instead and eat like a local.
The first place in Paris I visited when arrived...Had unforgetable impressions as well as of evrything in Paris ...In the atmosphere there is a presence of mysterious and magnetic spirit..I felt in love in Paris there,on Avenue des Champs-Elysees...
