This exemplifies true patriotism

Having been a teacher of French and having heard of the "cowardice" of France in her capitulation to the Nazis, I was indeed glad to learn more about the Resistance and those who exhibited extraordinary patriotism during such a dark period of modern French history. The book "The Death of Jean Moulin" by Patrick Markham really inspired me to look further into the story of Occupied France. My visit to the Muse Jean Moulin just brought all of my readings to a culmination - and a renewed sense that those critics of France's "weak" history were gravely undereducated to what was REALLY happening during the Occupation. It may be a small museum (and a little tricky to find!), but if you have an interest in French history, World War II, and, particularly, the French Resistance during the war, by all means take the time to visit this rather appropriate location (the Montparnasse train station is also of historic importance - check out the main entrance).
