On Saturdays, Paris' favorite bargain basement is engulfed by swarms of shoppers riffling through bins of discount goods. Constantly swamped with Parisians seeking anything from frying pans to lingerie at rock bottom prices, Tati has now branched out, with separate stores for candy, jewelry, eyewear, even limited edition wedding dresses. Their characteristic bright pink checked bags and awnings have practically become icons, synonymous with bargains, and a certain amount of hipness.

A PLACE FOR VALUE OF MONEY. I TRAVELED VERY EXTENSIVELY TO EUROPE/FAREAST/MIDDLE EAST AND TO THE USA BUT THE KIND OF SATISFACTION OF SHOPPING EVERYTHING/ANYTHING IS NOWHERE BUT IN TAATI ONLY.SOMETIMES I GO TO PARIS TO VISIT AT TAATI ONLY. I BELIEVE WE SHOULD HAVE SUCH STORES IN OUR CITY ALSO,IN NEW DELHI

Lots of Fun

This place was a lot of Fun. I liked shopping for other people here because if I got a size wrong then not soo much money was spent. Not really any name brands that you think of when you think French.But, then I don't know any brands that the normal French person would know. A K-mart discount store.But, much prettier. I brought home lots of fun stuff..a pair of shorts, a blue scarf,cute pants for my girls, a great tie and shirt. If you lose your luggage, go here for all the basics without braking your spending money.

THIS IS A MUST!

I tell everyone I know about the store Tati -great stuff at fabulous prices...plus the items are so stylish! I was thrilled! Easy to get to from anywhere as it is close to the metro - my husband waited patiently while I found quite a few bargains - I will without a doubt go back!

Can't wait to return

I loved the clothes there especially the men's wear, totally light years ahead of the USA. I wanted to buy every suit in the place for a small price he could have had them all. Instead he went casual, although he did return to the states Very French........and he is a true PR. Love the place Keiko

I always shop at Tati

I have been to Paris at least a dozen times, the latest being June 12-15. Whenever I go the first place I head for shopping at Tati which is right as you get off the Barbes-Rochechouart metro stop. It stretches for blocks and consists of store after store joined together by walkways. Each store is different, with 1 being woman's, 1 children's, 1 men's, 1 housewares etc. There are 3 others in Paris (metro Fauborg-du Temple) is just childrens clothing. Athough there are some pretty inexpensive other clothing stores on that block.

Tati - i came, i saw, I shopped

Wow, I went to two of them, one at Pigalle and I thought, hey, prices are great, quality is okay, but selection is really great. I found a bigger Tati at a location north of Gard du Nord that was even better. It was about 7 different stores and had an amazing selection. It was sooooo busy but worth the experience. What is France good for? Wine, Chocolate Pies, Tartelletes, Paninis, Museums, and Tati.

You Must Go!

I loved going into the Tati store near the Bd.Montparnasse a couple of months ago. Although I heard that the Tati stores would be closing,this one was tres open. Although it resembled a Big Lots store here in the states, the big surprise was going to the back of the store and finding an incredible bridal department!! Wow! That was totally cool. Anyway, I recommend this store just for its total unpredibtability. By the way, the store is not far from a Leonidas chocolatier, so that makes two really wonderful things in close proximitty!
