The Coolest Place in Paris
Colette has an ever-changing display of things beautiful, interesting and, typically, expensive. The restaurant downstairs, The Water Bar, is excellent, with a variety of healthy (steamed vegetables with chevre or mozerella) and seasonal dishes. The windows facing Rue St. Honore change every week and are themselves typically works of art. On Sundays, when the store is closed, I to love watch the everpresent Headmistress and her minions change out the wares and the windows for Monday's opening. Retail as theater at its highest form.
