Bad

I was in London and went to see Wicked. The musical about the life of the Wicked Witch of the West. I paid £120 for two 6 row center tickets, and I was blown away! It was truly amazing. It was worth every penny, and I would go again without a doubt.
A few days later I paid 180euros for 2 tickets at the Moulin Rouge.
After standing in line for an hour (as seems to be the norm reading some of these reviews), we were shuffled inside and me and my girlfriend were seated at a table up against the wall at the side. It was like a cattle market in there. How many people can they possibly fit in that theatre!?
There was very much a feel of "get 'em in, get their money, give 'em a third rate show, and get 'em out" to the whole night.
The dancers were a shambles most of the time, the songs were bad, the jokes weren't funny, the costumes were mostly ridiculous, and it was a long boring night. Believe me, I was chugging that champagne down just to get myself to the end of the night.
I felt like I was on a budget cruise ship, not in an internationally acclaimed caberet theatre.
Oh, did I say it was my birthday...? Happy boring birthday to me eh?
