Moulin Rouge, Paris

it is the best place in france i loved it. you can go with yout family and have an exelent time or with your wife or girlfriend and kiss her there

it was a great experience i had so much fun. it was very mezmerizing the lights the dancers the everything. it was pricey but totally worth it.the champange was nice. being a younger visiter at 22 i still enjoyed it. it was my favorit part of my trip to paris. I plan to go back in the fall of 06 and that will be my first stop and my last.

If you have ever seen a Broadway or off-Broadway show you will surely blow chunks after the first few minutes of this "production". The food is awfule, the choreography is off, the performers lip sync, it's just all around pitiful. This show isn't even worth half of what they are charging. Find yourself another cabaret or just walk by and take photos of the big windmill - much more entertaining than the acutal show.

this place is definitely overrated and over priced (Over $100/person which included 1/2 bottle champagne). The staff however was friendly, which is unusual for Paris. I caught myself yawning a couple of times. If you would like to go to a show, choose a musical instead

There are tons of things to do near the Mouin Rouge from larger to smaller theatre, shows, comedy and music. Hannah Judson performs original folk/rock songs with her amazing band this summer at Theatre la Cible in Pigalle. Shows start at 21h, and are a great place to meet up before or after for an anglophone outing. I wish we have read all the previous reviews from this website before booking our tickets for the show. It was a complete dissapointment. If you are not drinking, you are placed in an unfavoruble viewing position, while waiters are running in front of you all night long to serve drinking cusomers. Show itself was a digrace to Molulin Rouge reputation and tradition. Awful choreography that even my 10 year old daughter would have done better. Cheesy entertainers, comedian, acrobats, and even with dozens of topless dancers, my partner still managed to fall asleep. Mind you the miniatrure ponies were cute. Everything that previous customers said in their reviews was correct. Long waiting, herding people in like on a production line. If you wish to see some quality dance then look for Tango Fire, and other dance shows in London who are 100 times better and much cheaper than this. Do yourself a favour and have an extra night in Paris rather then wasting your money on this rubbish. We spent weekend in Paris for our anniversary and this was the only down side to it all. If you hate somebody, then treat them to the show . For us, never again...

I took one of the tourist trips to the Moulin Rouge. I chose the one where they pick you up and take you back to your hotel. A bottle of champagne was included for our group. It was supposed to only 1 glas per person. However, we were given about 3 glasses per person at no extra charge. We did have to wait in line about 20 minutes before we were allowed to enter. We had to check our coats. Women were not charged. The show is cheesy but fun. I thought it would be a ho-hum performance. It was quite delightful. The performers didn't appear bored or sleepy to me. I don't remember what I paid, but it was not expensive at all. I think every visitor to Paris should experience the Moulin Rouge at least once. I enjoyed it more than the Lido. It is located in the Pigalle area (Red Light District) of Paris. Ignore the pimps and prostitutes. I see little old ladies walking in the area late at night. I've seen kids in the area. I felt very safe and not threatened in any way. I would give the Moulin Rouge two thumbs up.

I love the whole atmosphere, the lights the colours, the people! What a show, I would definatly recommend this to anyone who appreciates fine dinning and entertainment. Its not just for the middle aged or older, nor is it just for the men, I am a 20 year old female and it was great

I have been to a number of shows, especially great shows in vegas. This show was horrible. For 100+ euro, you get ripped off. The dancers all danced lazily, were out of sync, and seemed bored. There was no energy at all to this show. Perhaps I had higher expectations having seen some spectacular vegas shows, but it was bad. I have NEVER walked out of a show, even a bad movie. I walked out of the moulin rouge half way through. If you have never seen a good show before some where else, then maybe you will like moulin rouge, but if you have seen a show that is amazing or have seen some vegas shows, do not go, you will be very disappointed.

We spent a fantastic night, unplanned and off the cuff, tickets purchased the same day, we went to the late show and waited but worth the wait, staff we excellent and all we had perfect seats. You expect to pay big $$s for a show such as this. My advice is don't believe all you read, try for youself or you might miss the experience of a lifetime.
