Fermette Marbeuf (La), Paris

The food was mediocre to say the least. The restaurant service standard was poor. I felt like I was sitting in a San Francisco bordello in the 1800's.

My friends and I really enjoyed our visit to Fermette Marbeuf. The waiters were extremely friendly and helpful and the set menu was excellent value for money. The setting is really beautiful and everyone had a really good night. We would definitely go to this restaurant again.

++good service, nice place,fine food very close to aiffel tower and chanpes ellyses. - no salads, not much variety at the catalogue. its better to make reservation.

What a disappointment. The only time we got to see the famous Belle Epoque dining room was at the end of our meal, on our way to the toilet, since we were seated in the "english speaking" section of the restaurant. The food was mediocre at best, and way overpriced. My friend and I spent the equivalent of $200 (american dollars)for our meal and one bottle of wine (with neither coffee nor dessert). In response, the staff was inattentive and rude, almost to the point of being hostile. It must have been a nice place in the past, but shouldn't even appear in tour books now.

Our starter was fine but there was then nearly an hour's wait for the main course which was explined after we were served ,as being due to "a problem with the gas".Surprisingly no apology was offered to us or any other customers . The rest of the meal was indifferent perhaps due to lack of "gas" . The decor is beautiful but the waiters rush about unnecessarily fast .

My wife and I had a great meal at this beautiful place and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. A very romantic place for couples.

Over the last few years, I used to go very frequently to la fermette, and I recommended it to everybody, especially for strangers coming to paris and wanting a parisian restaurant experience. Not anymore.... But for the last few months, degradation of food quality is moving at fast pace. and as for the service, they are extremely rude. It is regrettable since the restaurant decoration and style are very beautiful and it is winderful to dine in a historical place... It is a shame they could not maintain the high level of quality. It is now at touristic brasserie level!
