Fermette Marbeuf (La)
If you're a fan of the Belle Epoque period, dining in this restaurant, with a dining room of a lavish artistic masterpiece, will make your day. Art Nouveau surroundings of stained glass windows and decorative tiles are the perfect setting for chef Gilbert Isaac's attractive menu, which has plenty of its own admirers. A starter of Snail and Garlic Butter Souffle might lead to a Chateaubriand with Morel Mushrooms for two and a first class cheese tray to finish.
My friends and I really enjoyed our visit to Fermette Marbeuf. The waiters were extremely friendly and helpful and the set menu was excellent value for money. The setting is really beautiful and everyone had a really good night. We would definitely go to this restaurant again.
What a disappointment. The only time we got to see the famous Belle Epoque dining room was at the end of our meal, on our way to the toilet, since we were seated in the "english speaking" section of the restaurant. The food was mediocre at best, and way overpriced. My friend and I spent the equivalent of $200 (american dollars)for our meal and one bottle of wine (with neither coffee nor dessert). In response, the staff was inattentive and rude, almost to the point of being hostile. It must have been a nice place in the past, but shouldn't even appear in tour books now.
Our starter was fine but there was then nearly an hour's wait for the main course which was explined after we were served ,as being due to "a problem with the gas".Surprisingly no apology was offered to us or any other customers . The rest of the meal was indifferent perhaps due to lack of "gas" . The decor is beautiful but the waiters rush about unnecessarily fast .
Over the last few years, I used to go very frequently to la fermette, and I recommended it to everybody, especially for strangers coming to paris and wanting a parisian restaurant experience. Not anymore....
But for the last few months, degradation of food quality is moving at fast pace. and as for the service, they are extremely rude. It is regrettable since the restaurant decoration and style are very beautiful and it is winderful to dine in a historical place... It is a shame they could not maintain the high level of quality. It is now at touristic brasserie level!
Old is truly gold. La Fontaine de Mars, with its old chequered tablecloths, lacy curtains and wooden doors, retains the
old world charm. The ambience is cozy and warm, serving authentic French food. Get a taste of Parisian delights ...
Rustic French specialities opposite the Seine. The wide choice of dishes is mainly based on red meats and poultry, so

This is an elegant and chic cafe situated on a quiet street, which serves traditional, international and regional food. The
