The unusual aquarium "floor" filled with over 1000 fish comes as a surprise in this sophisticated restaurant. Though heavily touristed and a delight for children, Dragons Elysees does churn out some fairly impressive Chinese and Thai cuisine. Just minutes from the Champs Elysees, this is one place that's bound to make an impression during business lunches or when dining out with friends. Try the stuffed crab or traditional nems. The service is quick and professional, getting you back to sightseeing in short order.
The fish in the floor is quite entertaining, but the food is what I keep coming back for. The kitchen is splendid, haven't ever had a dish, that wasn't exceptional. The service is quick, fast and very good, even though the restaurant is usually full. There is a very cosy atmosphere, with a lot of small areas, so it seems you have the place almost to your self. There are a lot of eastern people eating at the restaurant too...a thing I usually see as the place having really good food. You should really try it out...
An ordinary chinese restaurant just with fish in the floor
By A Yahoo Contributor, 11/1/04
This was a restaurant just like you'd find in any half decent suburb of a big city - a nice chinese restaurant. The only difference is that the floor is an aquarium. The fish are only of passing interest, nothing exotic or exceptional and you get over it within a few minutes. I wouldn't make a special trip to this place but if you're in the area it's fine. The food was good, the service quick and friendly - which was surprising given the fact that it's quite a sizable place. In summary, perfectly nice but not really special.
